Hi, my name is Obie!

I am a Maine coon cat. I live way up in the northeastern United States, bordering Canada, in the state of Maine. The Atlantic ocean is extremely cold up here, and the winters are long. But my super thick, water-repellent coat of fur helps keep Me warm on those frigid, cold days. Did you know Maine coon cats have been in existence since the late 1800’s and are considered the largest domesticated cat breed, weighing on average, 20 to 25 pounds? But don’t let my size scare You…for I am a gentle beast with a friendly nature and I love children. In fact, I am hoping to become Your best friend… if you’ll let Me?

How can we become friends? I’m glad You asked. Unlike any other Maine coon cat, I have been gifted a very special talent! Upon falling asleep each night, a part of Me is able to float out of my dream. My ears act like satellite discs and can hear all of the adventurous dreams below. That’s when the fun begins! If a child wants me to, I am able to visit them in their own dream where the two of us can share a marvelous adventure together. That’s how we become friends!

  • I weigh 22 pounds and my tail is 16 inches long
  • My personality and fluffy fur make me the purrfect ‘cuddle machine’
  • The color of my fur is golden caramel
  • I can walk on top of snow with my unique ‘snowshoe-like’ paws and tufts of hair between my toes
  • I always like trying new things and am ready for any ‘fun adventure’
  • I am helpful and wise, kind-hearted and loving
  • I Love to Eat!
  • I enjoy baking and cooking
  • I Love to Eat!…did I already say that?
  • Learning new words is fun!
  • I tend to be mischievous at times
  • My favorite activity is ‘nighttime adventuring’ with my human friends
  • I’m honest and wise
  • My favorite flavor of ice cream is ‘Moose Tracks’
  • Some of my favorite foods are peanut butter, avocados and anchovies
  • ‘Flying’ is my all-time favorite adventure
  • I am loyal and keep a ‘friend for ever’
  • Other than eating, I like to write poetry
  • I like music, especially the piano, flute and violin
  • I tried sled-riding once…but it didn’t end up well.…but I would try it again.
  • I like fishing, camping, and adventure parks
  • I like making new friends in every part of the World

  • I don’t have a last name
  • Other than my human friends, I have a seagull friend named Penelope, a seal friend named Flip, and a squirrel friend named Waffles.
