Imagine I Can Fly

Imagine I can fly

Like a plane with glider wings

Or an eagle in the sky

Or a kite without a string

I’d fly above big barns

And swoop across the ponds

Over horses running wild

Clucking chickens…honking swans

I’d fly above tall cities

With crowds of people in the streets

Soar high above the ocean

With its ships and all their fleets

Through puffy clouds

I’d glide and weave

My face, all moist with dew

Then dries quickly when I leave

To behold the sun-lit moon

Drowsy then, I’d float back through

My window and back in bed

Where dream adventures do abound

Within my sleepy head
