What happens to little birds?Ā
Where do they go,Ā
When they stop singing their songs?Ā
I would just like to know.
When they no longer lay eggsĀ Ā
In their nests in the trees,Ā Ā
Or sit gracefully on branches,Ā
Which sway in the breeze.Ā
Do their bodies decompose?Ā Ā
Do they get eaten by crows?Ā Ā
Do they slowly convertĀ Ā
Into our ground becoming dirt?Ā
Or is there a special placeĀ Ā
Only birds go?Ā
A garden perhaps,Ā
A haven they know?Ā
In a faraway place,
At the end of the rainbow,Ā
I ponderā¦I wonderā¦Ā
